After an uptight medical student, Peter, fails the class of a demanding professor (who just happens to be his father), he drowns his sorrows in a jazz club. Here he meets the sultry singer Bogart, who takes him on a road trip to meet her dysfunctional family. When Bogart abandons him with her kooky clan, Peter is forced to stick it out on the family's marijuana plantation. How will the straight-laced Peter cope?
