In his powerhouse Oscar-nominated performance, Richard Jenkins stars as Walter Vale, a widowed college professor who has been drifting through life since the passing of his concert pianist wife. When Walter returns to their New York apartment after a long break, he finds a young immigrant couple, Tarek and Zainab, have taken up residence.
